THE RARITY OF THE BABY ALPACA

Baby alpaca is a rare and precious fibre, renowned for its incomparable softness and natural warmth.

Coming from the high plateaus of the Andes, this wool is the fruit of a thousand-year-old tradition and the respectful breeding of alpacas. Its rarity and quality make it an exceptional material, sought after by connoisseurs of fashion and natural beauty.

This fiber does not come from a baby alpaca but from the selection of the finest hair during shearing.

CARE

The maintenance of baby alpaca fiber accessories is relatively simple, but it is essential to preserve their softness and quality. Here are some care tips for your baby alpaca accessories:

  • Hand wash: It is best to wash your baby alpaca accessories by hand to avoid any risk of deformation or damage. Use cold water and a mild soap made specifically for wool.
  • Machine wash: In a small cotton net, choose a gentle cycle (“delicate laundry” or “wool”) in cold water, spin around 400 rpm and dry flat.
  • Avoid hot water and friction: Avoid hot water, which could attack the fiber, as well as vigorous friction, which could cause felting of the wool.
  • Dry flat: After washing, gently wring out excess water by gently squeezing your baby alpaca accessories, then lay them flat on a clean towel to air dry.
  • No tumble drying: Absolutely avoid tumble drying, as this may cause the baby alpaca fiber to shrink or become damaged.
  • Proper storage: When you’re not wearing your baby alpaca accessories, store them in a dry place out of direct sunlight to prevent fading. Add a few chestnuts to keep moths away from your cupboards, which hate their smellBy following these care tips, you can preserve the softness, beauty and quality of your baby alpaca accessories to enjoy for many seasons to come.
